Please note: Most primers are porous and will, if allowed absorb moisture. Ensure the conditions you are working in are suitable for application before applying primer.
High Build Undercoat
The perfect finish needs a firm foundation. Our High Build Undercoat offers (as the name implies) a high build paint to build film thickness for our Coach Enamel.
High Build Undercoat is supplied in 10 standard colours, each matching tonally to a group of top coat colours. For example; Crimson Lake, Manchester Red, and S C Crimson require a Dark Red Undercoat.
Undercoat is an important part of the painting process, without it you risk applying a thin paint job the fades fast and doesn’t have the depth of colour and shine consistent with a top quality finish

Anti Corrosive Grey Primer
A high build, fast drying zinc phosphate primer suitable for iron and steel. Our Anti Corrosive Grey Primer has excellent scratch filling qualities and has good easy sanding qualities.
It’s formulated for brushing, though also sprays very well with the addition of synthetic thinners.
Anti Corrosive Grey Primer is available in 500ml, 1 litre and 2.5 litre tins.
Etch Primer
Etch Primer is for application to aluminium and other difficult metals. It’s not the best brushing product due to its nature and has its own dedicated thinner which is usually necessary for a successful application. Please note that Galvanised surfaces will need further preparation before applying Etch Primer and that Stainless Steel is not really made for painting. Contact us for advice on either of these substrates.
Etch Primer is available in a 400ml aerosol or 1 litre tin. The thinners can also be purchased in a 1 litre tin
Extremely Pink Wood Primer
As the name implies, this wood primer is quite pink. An ultra high build primer, specially formulated for woodwork, and in particular old woodwork.
Extremely Pink Wood Primer is best applied by brush, the first coat thinned up to 50% with White Spirit and subsequent coats as appropriate.
Please ensure you do not apply a thick coat of this product (or any really its not good practice) as you risk the paint ‘skinning’ and the underlying paint failing to through dry.
Extremely Pink Wood Primer is available in a 1 litre or 2.5 litre tin.
