You will receive a very warm welcome at St Mary's Marina in Rufford. They are based in a wonderful part of rural Lancashire on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. They have moorings for 100 craft up to 60 feet in length, and can accommodate both narrow and wide beam boats and canal cruisers. They have the wonderful Boathouse Brasserie within the marina complex and also have a boat sales and maintenance service, which they can offer from their purpose-built premises.
The Brasserie procures local ingredients when and wherever possible to facilitate its primary goal of serving high quality food, and supporting home grown produce and local producers. The dining area is informal during the day and the meals served reflect this ... it is simple, honest and uncompromising ... a perfectly relaxing environment. And, the Brasserie has the most wonderful home-made cakes and sweets ...
They are located on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal, close to the major road networks (just six miles from junction 27 of the M6, which is the most convenient junction when travelling to the marina by road). The village of Rufford is close by, which has a rail station with a regular rail service to the north into Preston, and to the south-west towards Ormskirk and Southport.

Wharf House Narrowboats - Braunston Chandlers

We are delighted to be a distributor and stockist of Phil Speight’s Craftmaster Paints in our new Chandlers, which we have just opened next door to our established boat-fitting business here at Bottom Lock, Braunston. In what we hope was a good omen, the first two customers bought Phil’s paint!! We are stocking a wide range of chandlery including a range of cookers, solid fuel stoves, fridges, toilets, bathroom items, plumbing, gas and electrical fittings, inverters and battery chargers, brassware, rope and fenders etc.

If you would like to see a boat painted in Phil’s paint then you are welcome to visit us and see our own narrowboat ‘RUNE’ which is painted in Craftmaster enamel with Phil’s new anti-slip deck paint on the roof.

As boatbuilders we are very happy to offer help and advice to people fitting out their own boats and we particularly specialise in advice on fitting complex electrical installations. We are also an agent for The Boater’s Phone Company.
