This range consists of authentically matched colours for Traction Engines.

The majority of the colours were matched by Master Engine Painter and Liner - Mike 'Tomo' Thompson of Signart from samples found on hard to reach places of actual engines.

It is incredibly difficult to say that any colour is the exact shade used originally but we must remember that these engines were painted in a time before standardisation existed and so the original colours would have varied to some degree from engine to engine, week to week.

We are confident that these shades represent the most accurate matches possible. We are adding to this range as and when new research makes 'new' colours available to us, if you have any useful information please feel free to share it with us!
